Privacy Policy

What Tickr collects, how it is used, and how your team’s time data is isolated, encrypted, and kept yours.

Last updated: 1 November 2026Effective: 1 November 2026Terms of Service

1.Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Tickrtime.com (“Tickr”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use the Tickr website and time-tracking application (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Tickr is used by organisations. When your organisation tracks time in Tickr, your organisation decides what is recorded and who can see it. For that workspace content we act on your organisation’s behalf. For your own account details, we are responsible for how they are handled as described below.

2.Information we collect

Account details

  • Your name and email address.
  • Your sign-in credentials and password-reset requests.
  • Your preferences, such as time format, time zone, and notification choices.

Workspace data

  • Organisation and workspace names, and the settings a workspace Admin chooses.
  • Clients, projects, tasks, tags, and groups created in a workspace.
  • Membership: who belongs to which workspace, their role (Owner, Admin, Team member), and billable rates set by Admins.
  • Invitations sent by email, and whether they were accepted.

Time-tracking logs

  • Entry descriptions, start and end times, and durations.
  • The project · task, tags, and billable status attached to each entry.
  • The state of a running timer, so it keeps counting if you close the tab.

Technical and billing information

  • Basic service logs our servers create when you use Tickr, such as IP address, browser type, and request times, used to keep the Service secure and working.
  • Essential cookies that keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
  • Tickr is free today, so we collect no payment details.

3.How we use data

We use the information above exclusively to:

  • Provide the Service: run timers, store entries, and show them back to the people allowed to see them.
  • Produce time-tracking analytics and workspace reporting: dashboards, summaries, detailed reports, and exports.
  • Keep the Service fast, reliable, and secure, including diagnosing errors and preventing abuse.
  • Send service email you need, such as invitations, password resets, and billing notices, plus any notifications you turn on.
  • Answer support requests you send us.

0% Data Monetization · We NEVER sell your data. We do NOT sell, rent, or monetize your time-tracking data to third parties. Tickr carries no advertising, and your entries are never used to profile you for anyone else.

4.Workspace data isolation

Time in Tickr is walled per workspace. Every screen, total, report, and export answers for one workspace and nothing else. Data never crosses between workspaces, even when the same person belongs to several.

Inside a workspace, what a person can see depends on the role that workspace gives them:

Team member
Tracks time and sees and corrects their own entries.
Admin
Sees the whole workspace’s time and manages its clients, projects, team, and settings.
Owner
Everything an Admin can do, in every workspace of the organisation, plus organisation administration.

Tickr personnel access customer data only when needed to provide support you ask for, keep the Service secure, or comply with the law.

5.When we share information

We share information only in these cases:

  • Service providers that host and email for Tickr on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of the data to that job. We use DigitalOcean for hosting and Mailgun for email.
  • Your organisation: Owners and Admins of your workspace can see workspace data as their role allows.
  • Legal requirements, where we must respond to a valid legal request or protect the rights and safety of our users.
  • Business transfers, if Tickr is involved in a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy continues to apply to your data.

6.Data retention and export

You and your organisation keep full ownership of your data. Workspace members can export complete logs to CSV, Excel, or PDF at any time, filtered exactly as they need.

  • We keep account and workspace data while your account or organisation is active.
  • When you delete your account, the personal records associated with it are permanently removed.
  • When an Owner deletes a workspace, the time tracked in it is destroyed.
  • Deleted data is purged from backups within 35 days.

7.Security standards

  • In transit: all traffic between your browser and Tickr is encrypted with TLS 1.3 (HTTPS).
  • At rest: data is stored in an encrypted PostgreSQL database.
  • Access control: per-workspace role permissions limit who can read or change data.
  • Isolation: a multi-tenant, role-isolated architecture keeps each workspace’s data separate.

No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a security incident that affects your data, we will notify affected customers as the law requires.

8.Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:

  • Update your name, email, and password in My profile.
  • Export your time data from Reports at any time.
  • Change notification preferences in Preferences; all start off.
  • Ask us to delete your account or send you a copy of your data by emailing ct.tickrtime@gmail.com.

If your workspace belongs to an organisation, some requests are handled by that organisation’s Owner, and we may refer you to them.

9.International transfers

Tickr is operated from India. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information is processed in India (DigitalOcean Bangalore region) with the safeguards required by applicable law.

10.Children

Tickr is a business tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.

11.Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will notify Owners and Admins by email or in the app before the change takes effect. The effective date at the top of this page shows the current version.
